Founded in 1985 by António Esteves Monteiro, Quinta das Arcas is a family-owned company dedicated to producing high-quality wines in the Vinho Verde and Alentejo regions of Portugal. With over 120 hectares of vineyards in Vinho Verde and 60 hectares in Alentejo (Herdade Penedo Gordo), they cultivate both indigenous and international grape varieties. In Alentejo, they employ an ecological integrated protection system to preserve biodiversity. In addition to wine, Quinta das Arcas produces artisanal cow's cheese using traditional methods and their own milk.
