KEX Confectionery

KEX Confectionery is a confectionery group that includes several companies, some of which produce chocolate products. Kandia Dulce, a part of KEX Confectionery, produces chocolate, chocolate tablets, and chocolate bars. Heidi Chocolat, another company under KEX Confectionery, specializes in chocolate, pralines, and chocolate tablets. Niemetz, also part of KEX Confectionery, lists 'Heidi-Schokolade' and 'Schokotaler' among its products. Kandia Dulce has a long history in Romania, dating back to a small sweets workshop in 1890. It evolved into 'The Latter Mor Candy Factory' and was named Kandia in 1917. In 1948, it became part of the Sugar Products Enterprise Bucharest, gathering various chocolate and sugar product factories. In 1991, the company redefined itself as Excelent Bucharest. A significant merger occurred in 2004 with Kandia Timisoara, leading to the official name Kandia - Excelent. In 2007, it was acquired by Cadbury Schweppers, and then sold in 2010 to Oryxa Capital investment fund, at which point the name Kandia Dulce (Sweet Kandia) was adopted. The company aims to be the leader of the sweets market in Romania and the sweet choice of Romanians every day, offering products like chocolate bars, wafers, crackers, gummy-bears, jelly beans, and hard candy. They emphasize tradition, Romanian sweets, and continuous investment in innovation and quality. Heidi Chocolat was founded over 25 years ago by a Swiss Chocolatier and is inspired by the story of Johanna Spyri's little girl. Heidi remains a chocolate that inspires with visibly delicious combinations and a strong positive message. Niemetz has been known for Austrian confectionery art, highest enjoyment, and unique products for over 130 years, including Schwedenbomben, Bobby-Riegel, Manja-Nougat, Swedy, and Koogles.
