Our Mission: Redesigning fashion so that it empowers farmers, rebuilds soils, pays workers fairly, and reduces plastic waste in the world. Our Vision: To lead a transformation in regenerative organic cotton farming to heal our planet. TERRA THREAD® was founded by the father-daughter duo Vik and Vizan Giri, driven by a shared concern for the environmental and social consequences of fast fashion, particularly fossil fuel-based bags. The journey began in 2009 when Vik established Gallant International Inc., a Certified B Corporation committed to supplying sustainable products for consumers and businesses. Gallant International’s mission has always been rooted in ethical sourcing, transparency, and environmental responsibility. It now serves as the parent company of Terra Thread. While attending college, Vizan worked at Gallant International and became deeply involved in its mission. Her growing passion for social and environmental justice, combined with the realization that the market lacked sustainably produced backpacks and bags, sparked the idea for Terra Thread. Together, Vik and Vizan set out to fill that gap—creating a brand that not only offers eco-conscious alternatives but also empowers consumers to make choices that align with their values. Today, Terra Thread is a reflection of their vision: a brand that blends function, style, and sustainability while supporting regenerative organic agriculture and fair labor practices. Thanks to its sustainable and ethical attributes, Terra Thread has become a preferred choice for many conscious consumers and businesses for corporate gifting.
