ANUT CAIRO celebrates Egyptian heritage and craftsmanship, aiming to bring the 'light, warmth, and magic of Egypt' into homes. The company offers unique handmade products created by artisans across Egypt. This includes pottery from Fayoum, bedspreads from the textile weavers of Akhmim (Ancient Egypt’s historic textile center), and hand-embroidered table linens crafted by cooperatives of women that ANUT supports. ANUT's core focus is on people, fostering communities, and engaging with local craftspeople, designers, and creatives. They operate an embroidery school to teach skills that enable women to work from home and are planning an Artist Residency program to connect artists with their artisan community, ensuring the relevance of millennial crafts.
