Commodity Corporation Pty Limited commenced its Pacific cocoa operations in July 2006 on the island of Guadalcanal in the pristine Solomons Islands. By 2014, C-Corp had become a totally integrated cocoa producer, processor and exporter working directly with our exclusive network of growers who, sustainably grow premium quality and organic cacao beans. We are one of the leading producers and exporters of premium grade organic cacao in the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, and we operate a sustainable and vertically integrated business to deliver the highest quality beans. We work in close partnership with local landowners and our growers to continually improve upon our sustainable farming practices and the premium quality of our cacao beans. C-Corp provides a transparent supply chain from our growers direct to consumers which means our growers are paid above fair-trade prices and our cacao has no unnecessary handling processes, ensuring it’s premium quality. The Amelonado and trinitario cacao variety flourish in the perfect conditions of the exotic Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, with its nutrient rich soil and tropical climate, producing cacao with a lively flavour and distinctive aroma unlike anything else. As one of the few vertically integrated cocoa businesses in the world we also produce our International Award Winning ‘Solomons Gold’ Chocolate out of our bespoke chocolate factory in New Zealand. Our chocolate products are dairy free, gluten free, nut free & soy free, and are available in specialty retail outlets in New Zealand and Australia. We also supply our premium cacao and dark chocolate products in wholesale capacity to restaurants, patisseries, boutique and gourmet food producers and manufacturers. Only the finest cacao can make the best chocolate. In 2018, Solomons Gold added to its Silver award won in 2017 by competing against a record-breaking 1,200 entries from 45 countries in London's prestigious “Academy of Chocolate Awards" to win two bronze awards. C-Corp aspires to make a meaningful contribution to the resurgence of cocoa exports from the Solomon Islands, not only in terms of increased volumes, but more importantly in terms of improved cacao quality, as a result of better farming processes and sustainable farming practices. C-Corp is proud to be part of the Solomon Islands cacao community and to contribute to the sustainability and productivity of the cacao industry for generations to come. We are committed to empowering our growers and the infrastructure and training opportunities we provide are supporting local Solomon Island communities and creating employment opportunities. C-Corp also engages in shipping and wholesale activities for a variety of Pacific commodities such as copra and timber.
