Malaika Linens

Malaika Linens was founded in 2004 by Margarita Andrade and Goya Gallagher. They utilize Egyptian cotton to produce high-quality bed linen and focus on teaching hand embroidery to local women, empowering them economically. In 2009, Malaika built its own factory employing 60 workers, and in 2018, opened its embroidery school 'Threads of Hope'. The company has expanded its product range to include embroidered table linen, silkscreen-printed accessories, terrycloth towels, cushions, and a baby collection. They also offer artisan-made home decor, ethically handcrafted in Egypt, including Fayoum pottery and glass.
