Woodlands Dairy

Woodlands Dairy started in 1995 as a small packaging plant for milk from Woodlands Farm, owned by the Gutsche family. It has grown to become one of South Africa's leading manufacturers of UHT milk under the FIRST CHOICE® brand. They also process, produce, and package high-quality house brand dairy products for retailers like SPAR and Woolworths. Located in Humansdorp, Eastern Cape, they employ approximately 1700 people. In 2022, the Woodlands Group acquired Fairfield Dairy in Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands, which also processes house brand dairy items for SPAR, Woolworths, and Pick ‘n Pay, and is known for yoghurts, flavoured milks, and fresh milk.
